Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Kent, WA
Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students. The SLP will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students' communication skills in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and academic goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment data.
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to integrate therapy into the educational environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid State license or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates considered.
- State Department of Education certification (as required).
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred but not required
- School setting; may involve multiple school locations.
- Requires sitting, standing, and light physical effort during sessions and school activities.
