Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled professional to provide specialized speech-language services in an elementary school setting. This position focuses on supporting students aged 3 to 12, addressing a variety of communication needs within a diverse classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP).
- Experience in healthcare and educational settings, particularly with pediatric populations.
- Proficient in developing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a team, including special education staff and parents.
- Open to supervising a speech-language pathologist assistant (SLPA) or mentoring a new graduate.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement tailored therapy plans to meet individual goals.
- Maintain a manageable caseload of 56 students, ensuring consistent and effective service delivery.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to facilitate student success.
- Provide direct therapy as well as consultation to staff regarding speech and language development.
- Document student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed in compliance with school policies.
