JOB TITLE: Speech Therapist Assistant WAGE/ HOUR STATUS: EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: SpEd Program Director PAY GRADE : Teacher Salary
DEPT/SCHOOL: Special Education DAYS EMPLOYED: 187
DATE REVISED: December 2024 PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide speech-language pathology support services to clinical programs under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certificaticate:
Bachelors degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas license as a an assistant in speech-language pathology granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA)

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to execute specific components of the clinical speech, language, and/or hearing program as delegated by the speech-language pathologist
Knowledge of speech-language disorders and conditions
Ability to instruct and manage student behavior
