This position encompasses three full-time openings within an elementary school setting, focusing on early childhood and elementary education for the 2025-2026 school year.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in a school setting, particularly with early childhood and elementary students
- Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and their treatment
Location:
Joliet, IL
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement appropriate therapy plans for a manageable caseload of around 40 students
- Collaborate with general education and instructional classroom teachers to support student learning
- Provide case management services as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation in compliance with school policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
