Under the general supervision of the Team Leader and Director of Sports Medicine and the clinical supervision of individual physical therapists, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides treatment according to a physical therapy plan of care. The PTA treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio.
The PTA, Sports Medicine provides physical therapy interventions for a patient population comprised predominantly of active individuals with orthopedic conditions.
Minimum Education Required
2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Associate's Degree in Healthcare or a related field
Required Qualifications
Completion of an approved education curriculum as a physical therapy assistant, State of Ohio licensure
