Job Summary

We are seeking a Pre-Licensed Psychotherapist. This role is designed for individuals who have completed their master's or doctoral degree in a mental health-related field and are working toward licensure. This position provides an opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience under the supervision of a licensed clinician while providing psychotherapy and support to clients.

As a Pre-Licensed Therapist, you will be dedicated to delivering exceptional outpatient client care in a collaborative setting. Your primary responsibilities will encompass conducting diagnostic assessments and administering targeted treatment, drawing from an array of culturally responsive, trauma-informed and diverse therapeutic modalities, including individual, couples, family, and/or group psychotherapy. Your caseload may include individuals presenting with depression, anxiety, trauma, significant life changes, ADHD, and other mental health symptoms and developmental concerns, thus necessitating experience across a broad spectrum of client profiles and conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct client assessments to understand mental health conditions and treatment needs.
  • Assist in the development of individualized care plans and treatment goals.
  • Provide individual, couples, family and/or group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Teach coping skills, stress management, and emotional regulation techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessment notes, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Complete all required documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision sessions with a licensed clinician to enhance clinical skills and receive feedback.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and receive guidance on clinical decision-making.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and rights, assisting them in navigating mental health challenges.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education to meet licensure requirements and stay current with best practices.

Additional Details:

  • Full-time or part-time (FT preferred) W2 employee positions available for pre-licensed providers.
  • All pay is commissions-based compensation based on billable services.
  • Please note: We do not offer salaried positions.
  • Full benefits package available for W2 providers billing an average of 24+ client hours/week.

Requirements

Education:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling, social work, or a related mental health field from an accredited program required.

Licensures/Certifications:

  • Enrollment in a pre-licensure program, if required by your licensing board (For MSWs, LGSW license required).

Strongly Preferred:

  • Previous work or internship experience providing outpatient psychotherapy in a group practice or mental health clinic.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques, evidence-based interventions, and ethical guidelines.

One or more of the following specialties:

  • Works with children under the age of 13 years old
  • Trained in Trauma/PTSD (EMDR; ART; Somatic Experiencing; Sensorimotor Psychotherapy; Brainspotting; Internal Family Systems (IFS); DBT; Neurofeedback) and/or Sex therapy.
  • Experience or training working with: Neurodivergence (ADHD and ASD), addiction, eating disorders, aging/older clients ( and able to accept Medicare), Alzheimer's/Dementia, unhoused clients, Women's health (fertility, postpartum, perinatal, etc.
