Education and Credentials: Appropriate California credential(s) or equivalent as specified by law which should include a valid Master's Degree in Audiology and a Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential in Audiology. A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology is desired. Must possess a background in pediatric audiology or educational audiology. Specialized, in-depth knowledge in hearing aids, auditory training strategies and current electro-acoustic instrumentation.Experience: At least three years or the equivalent of providing successful audiological services for Special Education programs for students from the infant level through high school. Successful experience writing goals and objectives for students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Successful inter-agency work with California Children's Services is desired.Must possess a private vehicle, valid California driver's license and carry current automobile insurance with at least minimum coverage for public liability and property damage. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
