The Arc of the St. Johns is seeking a Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team at the Therapeutic Learning Center for Children and the St. Johns Community Campus. This full-time, year-round position supports students ages 2 to 22 with speech and language development through a variety of educational and clinical models. Position Summary: The Speech/Language Pathologist provides direct therapy services aligned with students' IEP goals and facilitates their communication and learning in classroom and clinical settings. This role includes collaboration with educators, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive and individualized support for each student. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct speech and language therapy - Conduct screenings and evaluations - Assist in developing and updating IEPs - Document progress and maintain accurate records - Support curriculum modifications and classroom integration - Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families - Co-treat with occupational, physical, and behavioral therapists - Refer families to community resources as needed - Ensure adherence to all applicable guidelines and regulations - Stay informed on current research and practices - Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely and accurate billing Qualifications Qualifications: - Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program - Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist - Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Work Environment and Physical Requirements: - Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods - Occasional lifting or movement of materials - Comfort working in dynamic or sensory-rich environments Preferred Skills and Expertise: - Experience with AAC devices (low- and high-tech) - Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) - Strong understanding of IDEA and IEP processes - Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines - Adaptability and skill in tailoring interventions to individual needs Benefits: Competitive pay Nine Paid holidays; Accrual-based paid leave after 90 days Inexpensive Employer Sponsored Health Insurance with United Health Care Dental, Vision, Short term disability, Long term disability, and other supplementary insurance products are available 403B retirement plan with 4% company match $25,000 Employer sponsored life insurance policy Employee Wellness Program (earn up to $2,000 in Rewards)
