Respiratory Care Practitioner in St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, WA Providence is offering a $20,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begins on your first day of employment.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) is responsible for the management of the pulmonary system through the administration of medication, ventilator management and pulmonary hygiene during stable and critical situations. Other job duties include performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostics, daily maintenance and QC of ABG machines and competency testing. RCP's will perform clinical duties and operate equipment according to department policy, with an appropriate physician's order and according to manufacturer guidelines. The RCP will work with humans of all age groups and knowledgeably administer Respiratory Therapeutic measures as recognized by Evidence Based criteria. The RCP generally practices independently.

Shift: 0.9 fte, Night Shift

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree from accredited Respiratory program.
  • Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
  • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Provider Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire.
  • Previous Experience.
