Friendship is looking for a PRN Physical Therapist to join our Friendship Richfield Health Center team in Salem, VA, who wants to make a difference in the lives of others. The Physical Therapist is responsible for creating therapy plans that improve and encourage resident recovery and wellness and will create individual treatment plans to meet the needs of each resident. Roles & Responsibilities: Complete screenings and patient evaluations according to departmental policies and procedures Establish, implement and execute goal-oriented treatment plans and programs in coordination with other departments Adhere to departmental, organization and regulatory agency policies and procedures Evaluate treatment plan progressions to identify any deficiencies and make adjustments as may be necessary Participate in program development, quality assurance and improvement efforts Identify areas of opportunity to improve quality of care for residents and/or improve departmental operations Essential Functions: Work with other departments to provide the best care for each resident by identifying opportunities to cross-treat Comply with all local, state, federal, and facility policies and procedures Report any changes to resident behavior, health or attitude Develop, implement and maintain treatment plans and programs Qualifications: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology and therapy equipment Be able to follow written and oral instructions Friendship values diversity.
