Massage Therapist - Lakeland

HMC is looking for an experienced and friendly Massage Therapist that can work in a fast-paced environment. We are actively interviewing, and our team is waiting for the right candidate!

Job duties:

• Performs therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints to treat injuries and promote general wellness.
• Works closely with doctors to treat patients that are affected by pain, illness, or injury.
• May assist in the assessment of range of motion and muscle strength.
• Addresses physical pain and help patients find relief from injuries or illnesses
• Massage soft tissues of the body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.
• Assess soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion for documentation purposes.
• Perform massage therapy modalities based on your evaluation and determination of treatment plan for the patient.
• Abides by HIPAA laws
• Completes documentation of all therapies performed
• Responsible for keeping massage therapy license up to date and active
• Works closely with managers and providers.
• Perform other tasks as necessary.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Massage Therapist
• Knowledge of patient assessment techniques
• Must have a valid Florida State Massage license
• At least 1-2 years of experience in clinical massage therapy
• Experience with electric stimulator equipment
• Experience Cold and Hot Pads
• Experience with ultrasound therapy machine
• Experience with Paraffin wax machine
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Superior customer service skills
• A high level of professionalism
• Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish
