Speech Therapist
Job Description
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to play a key role in helping students succeed academically by providing high-quality speech and language services. As a member of the Student Support team, the SLP will provide individualized, targeted support in whole group, small group, and one-on-one settings, ensuring that each student's speech language, and communication needs are met. The SLP will work closely with teachers, families, and staff to help students build the essential communication skills needed for success in the classroom and beyond.
Core Responsibilities
- Utilize evidence-based practices to develop and execute comprehensive assessments to identify students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Provide innovative and rigorous individual therapy sessions to address idintified disorders in collaboration with teachers and Student Support team members.
- Assess student progress consistently and adjust instruction to meet individual student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and academic staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
- Participate in Individidualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives, as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding speech and language services in schools.

Educational Background and Work Experience
- Valid and active South Carolina licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience in a school setting preferred.
