READS Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program (DHH)DHH Classrooms located in Norton Public Schools and Bristol-Plymouth Regional Vocational High SchoolCandidate will conduct comprehensive initial and 3 year speech and language evaluations, for Deaf students and students with hearing loss, in ASL (with ASL interpreter support if needed) or preferred mode of communication; develop the evaluation report; share results and interpretation with families and school personnel; and consult as need to staff and students of DHH program.Candidate will contribute to IEP development and implementation.Candidate will provide direct services to students in DHH according to their IEP.Candidate will supervise SLPAs according to ASHA guidelines.Candidate will consult to school districts, provide direct service to students in districts and facilitate parent groups as directed.Candidate will provide professional development to staff and families as directed.

Job Requirements
DESE licensure as Speech and Language Pathologist and MA licensure as Speech and Language Pathologist required; ASHA certification as SLP, preferred * Will consider Clinical Fellows - Supervision Available.* Experience with evaluation of students with hearing loss preferredFluency in American Sign Language or willingness to learn preferredUnderstanding of Deaf Culture preferredKnowledge of current trends and best practices in education of children with hearing loss preferredExcellent report writing skillsCommunication skillsExcellent communication skills required. Fluent and/or interest in learning American Sign Language preferred
