Adjunct - Respiratory Care Clinical Instructor (PT)

SUNY Sullivan is accepting applications for part-time faculty to serve as a Clinical Instructor. The successful candidate must thoroughly know patient medications, treatments, and diagnoses and relate these aspects of patient care to the student's problem-solving/critical thinking and skill development. A Clinical Instructor supervises, instructs, and guides students in applying and administering Respiratory procedures provided to patients in a real-time medical environment.
The clinical assignments are scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, during the Fall and Spring semesters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Maintain an unencumbered Respiratory Therapy license in the State of N.Y.
- Provide evidence of current BLS certification, independent malpractice insurance, and membership to the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC)
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching.
- Possess the ability to interact with a diverse student and staff population effectively.
- Possess a strong commitment to student success.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
