Adjunctive Therapist/Activity Therapist/Music Therapist

Come join our team of professionals at Aurora Behavioral Health Systems. This free standing psychiatric inpatient hospital and outpatient program is located in Glendale, AZ. We are looking for experienced, certified Music Therapists, Art Therapists or Recreational Therapists to provide quality recreational, music, art, animal and other expressive therapies as an adjunct to patient treatment. Our psychiatric facility is licensed to treat adolescents and adults for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. As a therapist in the Adjunctive Therapy department, you will be responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing comprehensive recreational therapy. You will be able to interact with adolescent and adult patients during daily routine activities consistent with the organization's treatment program design, mission and vision, as well as the principles of positive growth and development. _Seeking credentialed professionals with a master's in counseling/psychology/clinical mental health, and/or a bachelor's AND holds a certification from an accredited organization or program based on nationally accepted standards within but not limited to recreational/leisure therapies, creative arts/expressive therapy (AAT, MT-BC, CTRS, ATR, RDT, PTR, R-DMT,EAT, HRT, RYT, LCAT)_ *Requirements* * Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy/Art Therapy/Recreational Therapy or a Bachelor's degree in a related field with a completion of a creative arts/expressive therapy/animal assisted therapy certification program. * Master's Degree in Counseling/Social Work/Psychology. * Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills. * Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment. * Understanding of, or ability to understand, DSM-V methodology. * Minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare field. Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred. * Must be 21 years of age and meet qualifications for finger print clearance. * CPR and TO certification required within 30 days of hire.
