**What Youll Be Doing:**\
As a Recreational Therapist at Averte, youll design and implement
therapeutic programming that promotes wellness, recovery, and skill
development. From leading evidence-based groups to developing
individualized plans, youll play a key role in each clients healing
journey.
**Key Responsibilities Include:**\
**Therapeutic Program Leadership**
- Oversee and coordinate all therapeutic activity programming
including individual, group, and community events.
- Design programming around life skills, wellness, recreation, and
social engagement, in alignment with treatment goals.
- Ensure all activities are adequately staffed, resourced, and
communicated.
**Client-Centered Support**
- Provide individual counseling and skills support to identified
clients.
- Collaborate on individualized recovery plans and support discharge
planning.
- Facilitate therapeutic groups using evidence-based practices.
**Collaboration and Communication**
- Work closely with clinical teams to align programming with treatment
plans.
- Communicate with clients natural supports to promote continuity of
care.
- Supervise and support staff involved in activity programming.
**Documentation and Compliance**
- Maintain accurate, timely records in the electronic health record
(EHR).
- Monitor and review recovery plans for clinical compliance and
quality standards.
- Contribute to system improvements, best practices, and team
development.
**What Youll Bring:**
- **Masters degree in counseling or related human services field**
- Experience in mental health treatment and therapeutic programming
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health and evidence-based practices
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Valid Chauffeurs license (or state equivalent) and acceptable
driving record
**Physical Demands and Work Environment:**
- Ability to move between office and residential settings
- Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs.), bending, and standing for
activities
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- Travel between program sites or to community locations required
