RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver speech and language therapy to students with varying abilities, including classified students and general education studentsConduct comprehensive speech language evaluations for initial and reevaluation meetings through the CPSE and CSE Administer speech screenings to general education students Develop IEPs and developmentally appropriate goals Progress monitor both IEP and RTI goals Complete reports for CSE or RTI purposesParticipate in CPSE and CSE meetingsProvide consultation to teachers and teams per IEP mandates Participate in building-level Instructional Support Team (IST) meetings POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual speech therapist preferredN.Y.S Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence Strong Evaluation and Therapy SkillsExperience working with students who utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication preferred REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education, Building Principal and Assistant Principal Ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
