In need of a per diem physical therapist who can participate in a weekend rotation schedule, but who also has weekday availability for sick call and PTO coverage. Preferred clinician qualities include flexibility, reliability, commitment to quality, and the ability to operate at the highest level of clinical practice. The employee must be self-driven, outcomes oriented, and able to demonstrate quality work within a fast paced environment, so as to meet productivity as it aligns with our stewardship value. A good candidate is also someone who has optimal time management skills, is highly collaborative, and able to see the "big picture". Strong inter-disciplinary communication is required. MultiCare utilizes EPIC for all electronic medical records.Department productivity standard is currently 69% for 8-hour day with expectation of 7-9 patients seen per day. All employees are expected to cross-cover both Auburn and Covington Medical Centers, so training occurs for both sites in the first month or two. Per diem staff are also expected to work a minimum of 1 holiday per year, and be able to complete mandatory education/training during non-shift hours, but on the clock. New Employee Orientation process is very rigorousfor the first few weeks to a month (and would likely require some time off from an alternate position), and certain aspects are mandatory with regard to schedule.

The Physical Therapist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, evaluating, planning, and implementing medically prescribed treatment programs for patients to restore functions, relieve pain and prevent disability following disease or injury. This professional-level position gives you the capacity for independent operations as you apply discretion and good judgment toward ensuring high-quality therapeutic care.
Responsibilities
You will perform well in stress and emergency situations
You will perform patient evaluations/re-evaluations, establish a treatment plan, and modify the treatment plan according to the needs of the patient and response to treatment
You will perform treatment interventions for outpatient and/or inpatient population as directed
You will perform documentation in the medical record that is timely and accurate
You will communicate well with patients, peers, other health professionals in the coordination of care for the patients
Requirements
Successful completion of state board examination
Currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Washington
Experience in orthopedic, neurologic, cardiac patient management desirable
