Physical Therapy Director

The Physical Therapy Director oversees all physical therapy operations to include offering services, creating strategic goals by using sound and effective financial strategies, and acting as a liaison between other medical departments. The job also entails overseeing day-to-day operations as well as evaluating patients routinely. This position works as an integral team member on the management team in the development, implementation, maintenance, and adherence of/to the organization's policies and procedures. *Job Duties* * Oversees and manages daily physical therapy department operations. * Oversees the hiring, training, and development of physical therapy staff members, to include employees, volunteers, medical and professional staff, externs, interns, contractors, alliances, business associates and other appropriate third parties. * Develops and uses dashboards to ensure that all therapy department goals are communicated and achieved. * Participates in scheduled management and all-staff meetings. * Leads scheduled department meetings for therapy staff. * Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of any projects directed by the administrator and management team. * Routinely provides direct therapy to patients as part of overall scope. * Ensures accreditation, legal and medical compliance and remains updated on regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. * Offer analysis, information, and suggestions with the end goal of developing physical therapy operational policies; determine productivity, production, quality, and patient-services procedures. * Engage in continuing education and training opportunities whenever they become available. *Qualifications and Skills* * At least five years of experience as a physical therapist * Knowledge of legal, medical and accreditation compliance * Current physical therapist license * Management experience preferred Job Type: Full-time Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday Experience: * Physical therapy: 5 years (Required) License/Certification: * Physical Therapy License (Required) Work Location: In person
