Texas Institute of Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Physical Therapy is a physician owned physical therapy clinic in Grapevine, Texas. We are looking for an experienced PT that will work closely with a PTA, Orthopedic Surgeons, and support staff in an outpatient orthopedic setting. *Texas Institute of Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Contract Physical Therapist Position Details:* * *Full-Time * * Location: Grapevine, TX Responsibilities: * Diagnose and manage movement dysfunction to restore and promote improvement in physical function and wellness. * Prevent the onset and progression of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, and injuries. * Engage in an examination process that includes taking patient history, conducting systems review and performing tests and measurements to identify patient impairments and establish goals. * Provide appropriate patient interventions and modify those interventions to achieve expected outcomes. * Determine if physical therapy interventions are outside the scope of practice and refer to the appropriate provider. * Educate patients on physical therapy plan of care, expected outcomes and home exercises to promote independence. * Recommend appropriate assistive devices to advance patients level of function. * Work with patients on developing a discharge plan including any family and patient education needed. * Make sure paperwork including daily documentation, discharge summaries are completed in a timely manner. * Maintain open communication with on-site physicians as well as outside referrals when there has been a patient status change. * Work as a team to achieve highest quality of care for all patients in both a professional and friendly environment. * Comply with federal, state and local professional requirements, including, but not limited to the American Physical Therapy Association and the Executive Council of OT and PT examiners. * Create a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies and procedures and helping staff at all levels when patient care is needed. * Maintain patient confidentiality by compliance with patient rights. * Abide by all company policies. * Lift, push and pull objects and patients to aid in patient care, safety and exercise progression. * Must be able to perform all physical therapy duties, without assistance, to adequately treat therapy patients. Experience: - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic setting - Proficient in medical terminology, acute care, physiology, and anatomy knowledge Qualifications: - Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist -Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE- accredited physical therapy program. - Current BLS Certification required - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Job Type: Full-time Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Medical Specialty: * Orthopedics * Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine * Sports Medicine Schedule: * Monday to Friday Experience: * Orthopedics: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
