Services may include but are not limited to purposeful activities or interventions to maximize the independence and the maintenance of health of any individual who is limited by a physical injury or illness, a cognitive impairment, a psychosocial dysfunction, a mental illness, a developmental or learning disability, or an adverse environmental condition. Physical Therapy Assistant ( PTA ) Major Duties and Critical Tasks: * Assisting the physical therapist when performing tests, evaluation and complex treatment procedures * Observing, recording and reporting to the therapist the condition, reactions and responses related to assigned duties * Assisting the therapist in consulting with patients, family members and other health care professionals as appropriate * Assisting with the care of the physical therapy department and equipment * Assisting the physical therapist with in-service programs and other meetings as assigned Physical Therapy Assistant ( PTA ) Required Education and Experience: * Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant ( PTA ) in the state of Florida * Prior experience in Physical Therapy, preferred * Prior experience in Skilled Nursing, preferred:
