Orlin & Cohen, one of the largest providers of musculoskeletal care in the region is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) OT/PT to work in a multidisciplinary outpatient facility that promotes collaboration, clinical excellence and an outstanding patient/customer experience. In this setting you will work closely with team members and physicians to treat and manage a wide variety conditions including but not limited to: peripheral nerve injuries, crush injuries, repetitive motion disorders, fractures and tendon injuries. Team members enjoy competitive salaries, an excellent benefits package including generous paid time off (PTO), a career ladder and a continuing education allowance. *\*\**_*This position is also eligible for either a $10,000 Student Loan Repayment Plan or $10,000 Retention Bonus Program*__._*\*\** Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) OT/PT Candidate Attributes: * Ability to thoroughly evaluate patients in order to develop effective & efficient care plans * Experience fabricating custom orthotics *Understanding of a wide array of postoperative protocols* * Excellent time management skills * Service and team oriented * Excellent patient and physician communication skills * Working knowledge of manual therapy techniques * Commitment to personal development * Contributes to a positive and caring workplace culture * Displays empathy to all patients * 4+ year of experience preferred but not required * Experience and proficiency in using an electronic medical record (EMR) Occupational Therapist - PT - CHT Responsibilities Include: * Administration of direct patient care. * Designs and implements personalized and evidence-based intervention programs to achieve optimal patient outcomes. * Submits required documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures of the department. * Participates in quality improvement chart reviews and activities. * Performs related duties, as required. Required Experience & Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy, required. Master's Degree, preferred. * Current license as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist in New York State.
