Job Summary Provide intermittent support and coverage during emergencies, staff absences, and other extenuating circumstances in maintaining the efficient operation of the rehabilitation therapy department. Assists in development and provision of restorative nursing programs. Responsible for related duties as delegated by skilled therapist, restorative nurse, or rehab therapies director. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications One (1) year experience* performing direct patient care with geriatric clientele in one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) OR Human Services Technician (HST); OR Home Health Aide (HHA); OR Rehabilitation Aide. Note: An Associate or higher degree in Health Sciences, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health and Wellness, or a related field may substitute for six months of experience requirement. A Bachelor's degree or higher in an allied health field program like Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant, and Occupational Therapy Assistant may substitute for one year of experience requirement. In addition, qualified applicants must demonstrate : Effective communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate, follow detailed instructions, and document residents' activities in fitness gym. Computer skills sufficient to perform basic functions in Microsoft Office including Outlook & Word as well as other electronic medical record applications to input and retrieve data.
