We feature a 40 bed transitional care unit and a 1500 square foot rehab gym with the latest in rehab equipment including: four sci-fit bikes, electric parallel bars, electric stand in frame and tilt table, treadmill, ceiling light track system, and free motion pulley system. Our SLP will be responsible for the following: * Evaluating levels of swallowing, speech and language difficulty * Identifying treatment options * Creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs * Teaching patients how to make sounds while improving their voices and maintaining fluency * Helping individuals improve sentence structure and vocabulary used in written and oral language * Working with adults and children in developing and strengthening muscles used to swallow * Counseling individuals and families on ways to cope with swallowing and communication disorders The gym includes a full kitchen and bath for ADL training as well as a separate speech therapy treatment room. We provide PT, OT, and ST services to a varied clientele including orthopedic (post surgical, multiple trauma, after fracture care), neurologic, and chronic disease.
