- Comprehensive Assessment: Conducting thorough evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students across various age groups.
- Individualized Intervention: Developing and implementing creative, evidence-based therapy plans tailored to help students achieve their IEP goals , improving their articulation, language comprehension, expressive language, social communication, and fluency.
- Collaborative Support: Working closely with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other related service providers to integrate communication strategies into the classroom and home environments, ensuring consistent support and generalization of skills.
- Empowering Communication: Guiding students to develop critical communication skills, fostering greater confidence in expressing themselves and understanding others, which directly impacts their academic performance and social interactions.
- Progress Monitoring: Meticulously tracking student progress, analyzing data, and adjusting therapy plans to ensure continuous growth and celebrate every communication milestone, big or small.
- Advocacy & Guidance: Actively participating in IEP meetings , advocating for student needs, and providing invaluable consultation and support to families and school personnel on communication strategies.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and confidential student records and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and state-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who is deeply committed to student success and brings:
- Licensure: Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license (CCC-SLP preferred, CFY candidates encouraged to apply with proper supervision available).
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Experience: Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of IEP processes .
- Clinical Skills: Excellent clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, intervention planning, and therapeutic techniques for diverse communication disorders.
- Empathy & Patience: A profound sense of empathy, patience, and creativity in working with diverse student populations and their families.
