Inpatient Occupational Therapist (Full-Time)

Child Serve s talented, multi-disciplinary team of therapists specializes in pediatric rehab and works together to create plans specific to each childs need. In the role of Occupational Therapist , you will use play, therapeutic activities, and special techniques to improve self-cares, motor coordination, sensory processing, attention, and visual skills so children can be successful in their world.

What Youll Do

• Complete all documentation according to Child Serve , AOTA, and third-party regulatory standards
• Develop individualized plan of care as appropriate to meet the needs of the child/caregiver
• Adapt communication styles to meet the needs of those involved in a childs care
• Confer with the interdisciplinary team, including the physician with developing, implementing, and revising the therapy plan of care based on initial and ongoing assessments
• Review medical, educational, social, and financial information on each client prior to assessment or initiation of treatment
• Participate in teaching and training other Child Serve staff including orientation, occupational therapy topics, and mentoring for students/interns
• Provide health information to third party payers as necessary to advocate and secure medically necessary services for client
• Provide accurate and timely billing and scheduling information to accounting, operations staff and Team Lead
• Participate in internal quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities
• Participate in community functions, marketing, and consultative services as needed
• Assist in the development of new clinical programs as assigned

What Youll Need

• A degree from an AOTA approved occupational therapy program
• Preferred: Experience with pediatrics
• Preferred: Experience with autism and motor impairment
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language

• Full-Time, 8am - 4pm with flexibility
