Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

FTE/Hours: 7.5 Hrs/Day (7:30 am – 3:30 pm)
Salary Range: $24.66 - $31.38 (Range D6) ** NOTE: Negotiations currently underway for 2025-2026
Contract Days: 185 days

POSITION SUMMARY:
SLPA works under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct assistance in selected areas, collect data, and may provide individual or group services as directed by the Speech/Language Pathologist.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Requires an Associate Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology Program or a Bachelor’s degree with adequate practicum experience to secure Board Certification.
2. Experience working with handicapped students.
3. Valid Oregon driver’s license.
4. Ability to perform the essential functions with the physical, mental and emotional requirements, with or without accommodations.
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality in performing assigned tasks.
6. Ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with students, parents and staff.
7. Such alternatives to the qualifications as the Board and Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
8. Ability to obtain valid CPR/First Aid Card
