Position Responsibilities:
- Completes productivity reports accurately.
- Demonstrates accountability and effectiveness in adherence to staffing guidelines while evaluating needs for all 3 shifts.
- Counsels employees, initiates disciplinary actions as required and in a timely manner keeping the respective documentation. Implements performance improvement actions as required.
- Attends all required and assigned meetings, conducts shift meetings on a monthly basis
- Uses supplies, equipment and resources in a cost effective manner.
- Distributes assignments in a fair and cost effective manner.
- Responds to all CPR emergencies/disasters.
- Assists with orientation and training of new staff.
- Demonstrates ability to teach and educate staff, patient and family according to departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist with direct patient care/problems, which may arise in the clinical areas.
- Participates in education programs in the department and nursing areas as needed.
- Develops a schedule for his/her staff on a monthly basis.
- Reviews individual work completions to ensure proper utilization of time and minimize omissions.
- Participates in weekend on call, as required.
Qualifications :
- CRT or RRT required. BLS required.
- Graduate of two-year accredited program for Respiratory Care
2 years intensive care/ABG drawing/analysis. BLS Instructor preferred.
