Work tasks require knowledge, problem solving, analysis, skills, and abilities typically attained through education, certification programs or extensive work history. This position takes direction from the applicable Division Manager and/or Supervisor. Position descriptions are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.**MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:**Minimum QualificationsAge:18 years or aboveEducation:An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university, or the equivalent in experience.Experience:Two years of paid office or program support; strong computer skills; expertise in specialized area such as Cultural Affairs, Inclusion, Athletics, Parks, etc.Licenses:Valid driver's licensePreferred Qualifications:CPR/AED, First Aid,Personal Fitness Trainer CertificationWork Schedule- Less than 233 hours per quarter and may be year round**or**- 233hours or more in a quarter with a maximum of six months employment**or**- Not to exceed 1,039 work hours within any fiscal yearJOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:Include, but are not limited to:Assessing the recreational interests and needs of people with disabilities and provides adaptive recreation services directly and indirectly to a variety of individuals with cognitive, behavioral, and physical disabilities.Planning and implementing various programs such as adaptive sport clinics, wheelchair sport practices, social outing programs, and veteran specific opportunities.Adapting activities to meet the needs of people with disabilities on a case by case basis.Recruit, supervise and direct volunteers/interns assigned to adaptive
