Probation Court Liaison - Social Worker/Mental Health Counselor

The workstation would be full 7-hour days in person at Nassau County Probation in Mineola

Salary: $70,000/year

We provide care with excellence and compassion to historically underserved community members including those with autism, learning and developmental disabilities, chemical dependency and behavioral health concerns.

The Charles Evans Center (CEC) seeks a full-time LMSW or LMHC to serve as a liaison with the Nassau Problem Solving Courts. We are looking for the liaison to conduct assessments for substance use for those with legal involvement and refer clients to services. Candidates must have competency in assessing and evaluating for substance use disorders. Past experience in intakes, case management, as well as a working knowledge of the substance use and other social service providers in Nassau County is a plus.

We require:

+ Masters degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling

+ Current New York LMSW or LMHC

+ Strong clinical experience required

+ Dedicated to forensic social work field

+ Prior substance use experience and with prior forensic involvement a plus

+ Bilingual Spanish preferred
