The Patient Services Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for patients within the healthcare facility, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and compassionate patient experience. This role involves managing patient scheduling, handling inquiries, coordinating communication between patients and medical staff, and providing administrative support to enhance overall patient satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing assistance and information as needed. Schedule and confirm patient appointments via phone, email, or in-person. Manage patient registration, verify insurance information, and assist with required documentation. Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and other departments. Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly. Maintain accurate patient records and update databases regularly. Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with the finance department as needed. Support patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently. Ensure compliance with privacy laws and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA). Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to improve patient service processes. Perform other administrative duties to support clinic operations. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience in healthcare administration or patient services preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare systems is a plus. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Friendly, patient-focused, and detail-oriented approach.
