This position is responsible for pre-placement functional screening and provides development and implementation of ergonomic programs, education, and treatment to reduce the incidence of work-related injuries.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) of the following required:
    • Current Montana Physical Therapy license.
    • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program and must successfully obtain Montana Physical Therapy license within thirty (30) days of hire.
  • Current HS AED CPR required.
  • Medical background with emphasis in orthopedics; understanding of task analysis, body mechanics, and kinesiology in preventing cumulative trauma disorders, required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in providing worksite evaluation/job analyses, and evaluation and treatment of work-related injuries, preferred.
  • Current national certification in ergonomics is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Performs functional screens based on job specific elements of essential job functions.
  • Performs functional capacity evaluations for work comp related referrals.
  • Provides ergonomic input into workstation renovation and/or new construction.
  • Performs ergonomic worksite evaluations.
  • Provides ergonomic and body mechanic education specific to department and job tasks performed.
  • Completes client billing information and activity per department protocol.
  • Provides month end productivity supplemental sheet to assigned leadership.
  • Assists assigned leadership with maintaining department budget and utilizes resources appropriately.
  • Participates in activities which add value to department objectives and workflow, process improvement projects, community related initiatives, and group assistance.
  • Recommends new and/or revised policies and procedures to assigned leadership.
  • Identifies training needs for staff and may assist assigned leadership with staff development, orientation, and/or education programs.

Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
