Licensed Massage Therapist Duties and Responsibilities

Summary of Position:
The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional massage therapy services to guests and members of the Athletic Club daily between the hours of 7:00 am-8:00 pm. Flexibility in your availability is crucial in providing this highly popular amenity to our guests and members. This position requires delivering high-quality treatments tailored to individual client needs while maintaining a relaxing and professional atmosphere. The Massage Therapist ensures a positive guest experience by demonstrating expertise, professionalism, and adherence to all health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
oPerform a variety of massage techniques, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, sports, therapeutic massages, and trigger point therapy to alleviate pain and promote relaxation
oConduct thorough assessments to determine individual needs and tailor treatment while adhering to anatomy knowledge
oMaintain cleanliness and organization of the massage therapy room and equipment
oEducate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate treatment plans
oUphold all sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with state regulations
oAdhere to scheduling and appointment times to ensure efficient operation
oCommunicate effectively with clients and staff to create a welcoming and professional environment

Minimum Education
oHigh School diploma or equivalent
oCertification or licensure as a Massage Therapist in the State of Alaska and Insured
oMinimum of one year of professional massage therapy experience preferred
oMust be able to pass a background check

Minimum Experience
oMust have a basic knowledge of massage techniques and their therapeutic benefits
oMinimum of one year of professional massage therapy experience preferred
oMust be at least 18 years old or older
