Speech Therapist (SLP) - Remote

Woodfords Family Services is seeking to hire a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist/Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) within our Early Childhood Services (ECS) and Special Purpose Private School (SPPS) programs in Waterville, ME! This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) and offers telehealth/remote work options. The role is contracted for one year, with a comprehensive benefits package included.

Position Summary

Woodfords' ECS and SPPS Programs are designed to offer educational and behavioral support services to learners in PreK through 5th grade who are diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, all within a therapeutic and treatment-focused environment.

The Speech Therapist will deliver telehealth speech therapy services to a designated group of students and assist the program in fulfilling the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech evaluations as necessary for initial placements and ongoing progress assessments.
  • Develop Plans of Care for each individual student, and provide written quarterly reports and discharge summaries. Attend I.E.P., I.F.S.P., and family meetings as scheduled or required.
  • Provide training, direction, and guidance on speech therapy goals to the Teaching Staff.
  • Supervise any speech assistants in accordance with requirements outlined by the Maine Board of Examiners on Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Work in conjunction with Behavior Analysts, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Teaching Staff to provide cohesive programming to the students.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • 1-year contracted position with potential for renewal
  • Flexible remote schedule
  • $63,000 - $85,000 annual salary - commensurate with experience & education

Qualifications

  • Must have a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology/Communication Disorders
  • Must be licensed as a Speech Therapist in the State of Maine
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
