Position Description:
A public school in Lafayette, IN is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapeutic and consultative services to students with communication challenges. This role plays a vital part in helping students succeed academically and socially by addressing speech, language, and fluency needs directly within the school environment. The position is fully on-site and involves collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Duties:
Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
Deliver evidence-based therapy services in both group and individual settings
Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, and adjust therapy as needed
Participate in eligibility, IEP, and progress review meetings
Work closely with school staff and parents to support student outcomes
Ensure services comply with local, state, and federal special education regulations
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Valid Indiana SLP license issued by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA)
CCC-SLP strongly preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
Experience in a school setting is beneficial but not required
