The BHCM wouldhelp with dispositional planning, care planning and group therapy. TheBHCM also helps with behavioral health consults in the ED and on themedical unit. Under the supervision and consultation of a psychiatristthe BHCM will gather data about patient condition and assist withdisposition, providing resources and recommendations to patients in theED or on medical floors. Performs other duties as assigned.Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works withpatients on the inpatient unit, emergency room and medical floors.Consults and coordinates care of patient with thephysician/psychiatrist, inpatient RN and other agencies. Assessestreatment planning and progress. Prepares treatment plan and goals forpatients. Maintains pertinent patient data in the EMR in accordance withstate and federal laws and hospital policy. Provides group therapy.Arranges for disposition and follow up recommendations.
