Occupational Therapist

The OT is expected to work with patients who are recovering from an injury, helping to minimize any muscular defects, cope with handicaps or correct a learned behavior through therapeutic solutions. The OT conducts physical assessments, develops a plan for treatment and puts together a rehab program specific to the patient's need. The OT will assess their patients work and home environment to determine what adjustments are needed to make life as normal as possible. The OT focuses on improving, regaining and developing patient skills needed for daily life and their occupation.
