Therapeutic Recreation Specialist -Per Diem

To learn more about Baptist Health, visit us at . The Recreation Specialist plans and implements the recreational therapy program at Crossbridge. They function as a part of an interdisciplinary team and is responsible for assessments, groups, and other therapeutic program offerings as may be directed by the Treatment Manager. Patient populations served range in age from 12 years to 18 years on the adolescent unit, 19 to 54 on the adult unit, and 55 through the late stage of the life span on the geriatric unit.

• BS or BA in Therapeutic Recreation or allied field preferred.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, CTRS, required.
• Ability to cope with stressful, rapidly changing situations.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.
• Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated.
• Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
• Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.
