This role involves working closely with Physical Therapists to assist in patient treatment plans, helping individuals regain strength, mobility, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in executing treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist
Instruct and guide patients through prescribed exercises and mobility techniques
Monitor, document, and report patient progress and any concerns to the Physical Therapist
Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques for continued progress at home
Ensure a safe and encouraging rehabilitation environment
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams
Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and provide hands-on patient care
Problem-solving skills to adjust treatments based on patient progress
Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and rehabilitation exercises
Attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting
Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
Current state licensure
CPR certification (preferred)
Experience in a clinical or rehabilitative setting (preferred)
Dedication to providing high-quality patient care
