We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. Our skilled nursing facility is focused on providing outstanding patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Position Summary: The COTA assists the Occupational Therapist in delivering care and therapeutic interventions to patients and residents, while ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Treat patients as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Follow physician-approved treatment plans Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress documentation in compliance with the OT Board and facility policies Participate in discharge planning and caregiver training Educate families and staff on home programs and maintenance therapy Communicate patient progress and challenges to the therapy team Assist in training Restorative Aides as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area Report equipment issues promptly for repair or replacement Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in Casamba, PCC, or other required software systems Attend and contribute to in-service education and interdisciplinary team meetings Qualifications: Licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of [State] Experience with Casamba and PointClickCare preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Current CPR certification preferred Must be in good standing with the state licensing board and meet CEU requirements Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and reaching Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling Ability to maintain focus and awareness in a dynamic environment Work Environment: Indoor setting with moderate noise levels Interaction with residents, staff, and visitors under various circumstances Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities Why Join Us?
