Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 06/30/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job & Shift Unit OT (Occupational Therapist) 77700 Unit Type OT (Occupational Therapy) Unit Notes Position: Occupational Therapist Start Date: 6/30 Requirements: Minimum of one year of experience post-clinicals Active Arizona Occupational Therapy License (must be in hand at time of submission) Current AHA BLS Certification Preferred Qualifications: Prior hospital experience is strongly preferred. However, relevant experience from other inpatient settings-or even student clinical rotations-may be considered, provided the candidate demonstrates applicable skills. Extended orientation and support will only be offered to those who commit to a minimum 26-week assignment. Role Summary: This position involves evaluating, planning, administering, and overseeing Occupational Therapy treatments in accordance with physician referrals and applicable regulatory standards. The therapist must exhibit clinical competence and adapt treatments to meet the individual needs of patients across different age groups. Key Responsibilities: Patient Evaluation & Planning: Perform comprehensive evaluations, establish functional goals, and develop individualized treatment plans. Treatment Delivery: Safely administer therapy, adjusting treatment plans as needed while actively involving patients and their families. Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant records of patient assessments, treatments, and progress. Communication: Collaborate effectively with medical staff, patients, and families to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. Flexibility: Respond to schedule changes and provide support across various areas of care as needed. Supervision & Delegation: Supervise support staff and students, ensuring compliance with competency standards and regulatory guidelines. Operational Contribution: Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives and meet productivity expectations. Collaboration: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support comprehensive patient care.
