Make a meaningful impact on adolescent communication development through specialized virtual speech therapy services! We're seeking experienced Speech Language Pathologists to join our remote therapy team serving New Mexico middle school students.
Position Summary
This full-time remote position involves 35-37.5 hours per week, focusing on grades 6-8 with a diverse caseload of 40-55 students. Middle school students present unique challenges and opportunities, requiring specialized intervention approaches that address both academic and social communication needs.
Specialized Services
Provide targeted therapy for complex language disorders, social communication challenges, fluency disorders, and voice concerns common in adolescent populations. Virtual delivery format allows for innovative therapy approaches using age-appropriate technology and interactive platforms that engage middle school learners.
Essential Functions
- Complete comprehensive diagnostic evaluations
- Develop individualized therapy plans targeting specific communication goals
- Deliver engaging virtual therapy sessions using evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with special education teams and general education teachers
- Provide consultation on classroom accommodations and modifications
- Support transition planning for high school placement
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress monitoring
Professional Requirements
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification in good standing
- Active New Mexico speech-language pathology license
- Minimum 2 years school-based experience
- Understanding of adolescent development and learning styles
- Virtual therapy platform experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Adolescent Expertise
Experience working with middle school age students and understanding of social-emotional factors affecting communication development during adolescence. Ability to modify therapy approaches for age-appropriate engagement and motivation.
Remote Work Setup
