School-based Speech-Language Pathologist, Hacienda Heights, CA

Soliant is working with a moderately sized school in Hacienda Heights, CA, and is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This is a diverse community in the Los Angeles suburbs, and boasts extensive awards for Blue Ribbon schools.

Requirements:

Both ASHA-Certified candidates and Clinical Fellows will be considered

Candidates must have either a California SLP license or a Clinical and Rehabilitative Services credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing

Prior schools experience strongly preferred

Pay and Benefits: Hourly W2 pay of $67 to $95/hr, dependent on experience

Paid sick leave, accrued at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked

As a Speech-Language Pathologist in an education setting, clinicians will:

Conduct both informal and standardized assessments to determine students' level of speech therapy needs

Updating progress reports to ensure that students are moving towards their IEP goals

Write reports based on evaluation results, in accordance with state and federal mandates

Develop IEP goals in collaboration with District staff and families

Present evaluation reports and IEP goals at meetings

In some cases, SLPs may be called upon to supervise Clinical Fellows, student interns (at both the graduate and undergraduate level), and SLPAs
