Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide direct therapy services using evidence-based practices.
- Educate clients and their families on treatment plans, progress, and home exercises.
- Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient progress.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences.
- Stay current with developments in speech-language pathology through continuing education.
- Cross coverage SLP services at inpatient, swing bed and/or SNF as needed
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Experience in outpatient or clinical settings is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in acute care settings preferred (for cross coverage needs).
Work Environment:
Primary- Outpatient hospital setting. May involve working with pediatric, adult, or geriatric populations and address: speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication and swallow disorders depending on clinic needs.
