ASSOCIATE PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST / OHMVR DIVISION / HEADQUARTERS / SACRAMENTO CA
The reporting location for this position is Headquarters Office in Sacramento, CA . This position will work under the general direction of Staff Park and Recreation Specialist .
The Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division is currently seeking to fill the position of Associate Parks & Recreation Specialist (APRS) for the Grants Program. In this role, the selected candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for grantees across the state, specializing in the realm of Off-Highway Vehicle recreation including both cultural and environmental concerns; Responsibilities will include working in a lead capacity with a team of analysts and providing technical support to grantees involved in the planning, execution, and supervision of Off-Highway Vehicle projects funded through local assistance. The APRS will play a pivotal role in facilitating communication and collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including environmental organizations, off-highway clubs, and other stakeholders.
Park and Recreation Specialist (1068) will also be considered for recruitment purposes.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as telework eligible office-centered.

Working ConditionsWork environment may have moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, elevations, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Occasionally to frequent work outside of office, in a field environment with a range of climatic environments from hot, dry deserts, coastal beaches, cool forests, and mountainous areas.
May be exposed to extreme weather and traffic conditions.
Operate and navigate 4x4 vehicles, ATVs, RUVs or motorcycles in remote locations over a wide range of terrain and for long periods of time.
Walking or hiking into remote areas with a wide range of terrain.
