Occupational Therapy Assistant, PRN

Harrison County Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team!

Position available: PRN, Days

The role of the Occupational Therapy Assistant is to assess, plan, and implement patient/family/caregiver occupational therapy needs and treatment for patients aged neonate/infant (birth to 1 year), pediatric (1-12 years), adolescent (12-18), adult (18-65 years), and geriatric (over 65 years); and maintain documentation on services provided to patient/family/caregiver. Addresses educational needs for patients, families, and other health care providers; manages patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to patient and departmental operations; acts in a clinical leadership role; applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions. Qualifications for an Occupational Therapist are graduated and obtained degree from an accredited AOTA program, passing of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Assistant, and a license to practice in the state of Indiana.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Associate of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited program
• Must have passed Occupational Therapy Assistant licensing examination approved by Indiana Professional Licensing Agency/Occupational Therapy Committee
