Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

PDS is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with both the San Carlos Unified School District (SCUSD) and the San Carlos Apache Healthcare Corporation (SCAHC) on a Native American Reservation in San Carlos, Arizona. This is a unique opportunity to serve students across a K-12 school setting while also providing clinical care in a small community hospital. The ideal candidate is a licensed SLP with strong pediatric experience and a commitment to culturally sensitive, community-centered care. Schedule Details: School District (SCUSD): Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: Full days on-site Wednesday: Half-day schedule (students dismissed early) Caseload includes Pre-K, elementary, middle, high school, and self-contained classrooms Start time: 8:30 AM daily Clinic (SCAHC): Wednesday afternoons: 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM Fridays: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Housing and Transportation: On-site shared housing may be available upon request (application required; availability not guaranteed) Rent is deducted from contractor pay No pets are allowed in on-site housing Contractors may also choose to live in nearby cities Local travel between sites is approximately 5-7 miles round trip GSA vehicle may be available upon request Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program Minimum of 2 years of recent pediatric experience (required) Current BLS certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Eligible for state licensure Essential Responsibilities: Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy to students and pediatric patients with speech, language, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators, medical professionals, and families Document evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge summaries in accordance with both school and hospital policies Provide staff and family education on communication and swallowing disorders Assist with program development, policy updates, and community outreach as needed Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders Ability to apply assessment tools effectively and interpret data Excellent written and verbal communication skills Competency in using electronic health record systems and IEP software Adaptability to varying work environments and student/patient needs Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively within a diverse community Benefits include: Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance with company contribution Retirement Account with company matching Unlimited CEUs Materials stipend Licensure & ASHA reimbursement Great Mentorship Program!
