Overview

The Waldorf Center for Plastic Surgery is Hiring a Full Time Patient Care Coordinator - Surgery

Responsible for scheduling all plastic surgery procedures. The coordinator is also responsible for prepping the
cosmetic quotes, providing pre-operative instructions, collecting all payments for all scheduled surgical procedures,
insuring patients are following the financial and cancellation policy.

Responsibilities

1. Answers incoming phone line calls.
2. Schedules all surgical procedures.
3. Prepare quotes for surgery that encompass facility charge, surgeon charge and anesthesia charge.
4. Oversees the schedule for the surgeons: reschedule, cancel procedures, and adjusts schedules as needed.
5. Monitor openings on the schedule and attempt to fill with wait list or those looking to move up surgery.
6. Create and manage surgical procedures weekly by collecting down payments, payment plans, and managing
following the payment and cancellation policy.
7. Knowledge of all surgical procedures to provide patient with pre-operative instructions. Any surgery specific
questions are directed to the surgeon.
8. Any duty as requested.

Qualifications

EDUCATION
1. High School diploma is required.
2. 1-2 years of recent office experience is preferred.
3. Plastic Surgery knowledge preferred
4. Retail/sales experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Must be detail oriented.
2. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
3. Demonstrated leadership experience. Must be able to demonstrate leadership by serving as an example to
others with regard to professional behavior, handling multiple tasks, maintaining a positive attitude, and in
response to organizational change.
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint is required. Must be able to learn new software quickly.
5. Must possess excellent leadership, organizational, and computer skills.
6. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, board, clients, and the public.
7. Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
8. Ability to use time productively and contribute to high levels of company operational efficiency and
effectiveness.
9. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Ability to communicate in an active multi-office environment.
2. Ability to efficiently operate all job related office equipment (telephone, computer, calculator, fax, copier).
3. Ability to communicate via telephone.
4. Ability to sit for large portions of a workday.
