Position: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant at Carrie Ricker and Oak Hill Middle School

Date Position Available: 2025-2026 School Year

Qualifications: Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Assistant program. State of Maine Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant and current CHRC authorization through the State of Maine Department of Education.

Description: RSU #4 is looking to hire a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to work District-wide. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of effective occupational therapy programs based on students IEP's, under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, to improve student capacity to access their school setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders; Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, staff, and families; Possess the ability to problem-solve and adapt to the individual needs of students; and possess compassion, empathy, and patience in dealing with students.
