Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our clients team as Peds ICU Respiratory Therapist. As a team member in delivery of respiratory services, and under medical direction, performs a wide range of procedures related to the care of patients with general and specialized respiratory-related needs, including those in the Pediatric areas.
Job Description
- Performs evaluation to determine respiratory care needs and make appropriate recommendations and changes in accordance with policy and protocol guidelines. Assesses effectiveness of treatment and accurate documents according to department and legal/regulatory standards.
- Completes and documents required education and competencies within designated timeframe. Maintains competency in the areas of accountability.
- Accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation and billing.
- Facilitates a smooth transition for the patient to appropriate referral services / the next point of service / home and provides education to patients and families as it relates to respiratory issues.
- Instructs and trains other respiratory care staff, nursing and other medical personnel and students regarding patient needs and respiratory care services.
- Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills Required
- Apply scientific knowledge/therapy to practical clinical problems of respiratory care.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Associates degree in respiratory therapy Required
- Bachelors degree in respiratory therapy Preferred

Additional Requirements
- SHIFT/HOURS: 12 hours Night - 6:30pm to 7:00am
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- Must live an hour away from facility

Pay Rate/Salary
- $56.00 per hour
